for mom from jack

My mother's day card message from my son.

For mom;

Happy Mothers day. I love you. I will give you something, but I don't know what. Maybe I'll give you gulry (jewelry), pofium (perfume), and candi (candy).

That card made my whole day. The words on the card won't be meaningful to anyone else but me, but they might bring back memories of when your children made you one of their first cards, or maybe it will make you dream about when you will recieve a card for the first time from your kids. I know that one day my son will understand that this card is so much more important and valuable than any other gift that he could give me. A lot of times we say that it is the thought that counts, but we really are expecting or wanting something specific. I know I'm hoping my hubby does something for me tomorrow (which is when Mother's Day is gonna be celebrated here) but I also know that no matter what I get, it will not be able to make me feel the emotions that this simple card made me feel. I'm not expecting to recieve jewelry or perfume from my son, but just the thought that if he could, he would try and give me the things that he thinks would make me happy. It was such a neat opportunity for me to be able to read one of the first real letters that he wrote me by himself. The card made me feel loved and special. What more could you ask for on Mother's Day?
